Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a figure here does not match the manufacturer's own published specification, we want to know.

What we are good for

Corrections. A figure that does not match the manufacturer, a broken link, a product that is no longer available. Tell us the page and the figure.
Questions we have not answered. If the answer is not on the site, that is usually a page we should write.
A product we have missed, particularly one that publishes specs properly. Those are harder to find than they should be.
Telling us a recommendation looks commercially motivated. That is a fair question to ask of any site funded this way and we would rather answer it.

What we cannot help with

Orders, deliveries, returns and warranties. We sell nothing and are not party to your transaction. Those go to the retailer, who can actually see your order.

Whether a specific product will work in your specific room. We have not handled any of these units and have no way to know. What we can do is point you at the page where the relevant arithmetic is worked out.

Felt & File is published by Slate Mill Group. Our correction policy is on the editorial policy page, and the full method behind every figure is on how we pick.
